Sirius extends partnership with Flax

Expands Enterprise Search solution offerings

Sirius, the acclaimed Open Source System Integrator today announces extension to its partnership with Flax to include 24 x 7 support for the entire Flax solution range. At the joint Enterprise Search Open Day held at Sirius’ Rivermead campus, both companies presented the blueprint for this extended partnership.

“Enterprise search continues to be a key investment area for organisations trying to tap into the huge and growing pool of information scattered throughout their systems and across the internet”, said Mike Davis, Analyst at Ovum. “Open source search solutions should be the first option for organisations as they bring more projects online, but at an enterprise level support and expertise, such as that provided by Sirius is essential”, he continued.

Sirius and Flax intend to address customers’ need for robust and scalable search solutions. “Both Apache Solr and Xapian are performing well in numerous installations”, said Charlie Hull, Managing Director at Flax. “By adding our 24 x 7 monitoring and support solutions, we are well positioned to provide customers the reassurance that their search capabilities will be always-on: said Andrew Savory, CTO at Sirius.

Both companies are also targeting customers who are looking to migrate from unsupported search solutions. To this end, Flax and Sirius announce the launch of their Search competition - open to any customer with a closed source search engine.
