At the extreme this makes Open Source indistinguishable from Proprietary software, and some, including SiriUS, view this as negating one of the main benefits of genuinely Open Source Software.

Finally, Shibboleth and all genuine Open Source is freely available... what you are actually paying for is a service around those free products, and pricing should be based on the service you receive, not 'product' based.
